The Gay Crab by Gary Walton

It's a Sunday afternoon, lets dock the boat and head to The Gay Crab for a few drinks.

At the heart of the painting, perched atop a very tall rocky cliff, are a trio of crooked buildings. They appear to defy gravity, with their whimsical and unconventional architecture. One is the local drinking establishment entitled "The Gay Crab". In the background stands a steadfast lighthouse. Its presence adds a touch of realism to the scene, grounding it in a sense of purpose and safety.

Influenced by Salvador Dali's surrealistic artworks,  Gary Walton's paintings portray otherworldly landscapes that merge the realms of dreams and reality. Often, his artworks originate from visions within his dreams, which he then vividly captures on canvas. Gary Walton remarks on his creative process, stating, "I looked deep inside myself to create my individual style of art. It took time to adapt my passion for surrealism to bring my work to life until my creation was born”.
