A new original work by contemporary artist Gary Walton entitled Fisherman's Rest ii. The painting captures a whimsical coastal scene with an enchanting touch of magic. It is divided by two piers, one on each side extending into the calm waters. Perched upon these piers are a collection of whimsical cottages.  Each cottage is unique and almost fantastical in appearance. They evoke a sense of wonder, as if they belong to a world filled with enchantment.

The tide is currently out, revealing a sandy shoreline that stretches into the distance.  What makes this scene intriguing is the door at the stern of the boat is open.  Where are the crew?   Very possibly, they gone to enjoy dinner or share a drink with friends at The Fisherman's Rest nearby.

In the backdrop, a majestic lighthouse stands tall, serving as both a beacon of light.  The setting sun bathes the entire scene in warm, golden light.  The sky above is a captivating mix of soft pastels as day gently becomes evening.

Gary Walton's skilled use of acrylics brings this coastal fantasy to life, combining imagination with skillful rendering of light and color. This original work invites viewers to step into a world where reality and enchantment coexist.

Original acrylic on board signed by Gary and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.  Presented in an off-white mount and framed in a Larson Juhl Andover moulding as shown.
