Niki Purcell

Irish artist Niki Purcell is an artist living and working on the south east coast of Ireland. With a degree in Fine Art Painting from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Niki works primarily in oil paints. As an artist, her preferred subject matter are the landscapes and seacapes of Ireland.

Niki lives in an old coastguard station on the borders of Wicklow and Wexford. Here, she is contantly inspired by her surroundings.  The sound of the Irish sea is a constant as she works. Being surrounded by such wildness has allowed Niki to explore her surroundings.  In addition her feelings about her environment, a world that changes daily. Niki’s work shows demonstrates this.

Niki’s work has been exhibited extensively in the Hugh Lane, The Guinness Hop Store, the RHA  and  Irish Art Gallery, The Gaslamp Gallery.  In addition her work can be found in many important collections, such as the OPW.
