Helen Woods

Growing up on the Antrim Coast, Northern Ireland, Helen was inspired by the force of nature. This is seen especially in her coastal scenes which introduce the viewer to the power of the sea, captured using encaustic wax fused onto board to create art of an abstract nature.
Recent works include landscapes of the Wicklow and Wexford hills which surround her studio in Gorey, Co Wexford. Forest scenes influenced by her love of her surroundings , incorporate material to increase the depth and texture of the pieces. Helen’s work is represented by galleries throughout Ireland and is included in private and corporate collections.
